Australian Automotive Week, a joint initiative of the Victorian Automotive Industry and the Victorian Government's Office of Manufacturing, is a diverse program of activities that focuses on Victorian based manufacturers of cars and components.

Many of these activities are centred at the Melbourne Motor Show.

CAREERS SEMINARS
During Automotive Week emphasis is placed on providing Victorian secondary school students with an insight into the many challenging and rewarding careers offered by the automotive sector.

A series of careers seminars highlight the wide range of work and career opportunities, whether in engineering, marketing, information technology, sales and management as well as the traditional careers in repair, service and aftermarket sectors, which the automotive industry offers.

The three 45 minute Careers Seminars conducted feature case studies presented by young achievers (apprentices and graduates) already excelling in the industry, detailing the skills and qualifications required for the many careers within the industry and important advice on planning school subjects for a future career in the automotive industry.
