2010 MEDIA ACCREDITATION

In order to qualify for Media Accreditation you must be a working print, broadcast or website journalist.

Guidelines for Application can be categorised as follows:

Your Role As: May Give You this Access:
Working print journalist and photographer (including freelancer) at publicly seen newspaper, news service or newsletter) Full Access to Media & Industry Preview
Working broadcast journalist (television or radio, network, cable, public or independent) Full Access to Media & Industry Preview
Web site journalist, blogger and videographer  (website must be verified through Motor Show office) Full Access to Media & Industry Preview
Non journalistic staff of media outlet, marketing or advertising agency Access to Media & Industry Preview must be sought through related exhibitor
Representative of fan web site No access
Representative of non-automotive newsletter No access
Representative of club newsletter No access

 
MEDIA ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS

All working print, broadcast or website journalists applying for accreditation must submit proof that they represent a bona fide media organisation, as follows:

  • Letter of assignment on official letterhead of a media organisation from the Publisher/Editor or Chief of Staff. It should specify the name and functional title of the journalist.
  • All media applying for accreditation must represent publications or electronic media relevant to the nature of the Australian International Motor Show. Representatives are required to have familiarity and knowledge of the industry and represent organisations which specialise in the automotive industry through publication.
  • Print and electronic media representatives are required to submit two recent issues of the publication they are representing or details of television programmes on which they have appeared or pages downloaded from websites.
  • Radio and TV media representatives must submit two recordings of two recent reports.

ACCREDITATION PROCESS

If you meet Media Accreditation requirements, please complete the Request for Official Media Accreditation Application (attached below):

Please ensure you include the following items with your application:

1.    Media Accreditation Application Form (Click Here)
2.    Letter of Assignment
3.    In addition you must submit samples of your work relating to the automotive industry, for example:

            a. Press:  Two copies of recent print work where applicable
            b. Radio and TV:  Two recordings of recent works
            c. Photographers:  Examples of works
            d. Web journalists: two page download of recent articles or features

* ALL MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO ORGANISERS REVIEW AND DISTRIBUTED AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE MOTOR SHOW COMMITTEE *

APPLICATIONS FOR ACCREDITATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5:00PM, FRIDAY 1ST OCTOBER
* NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE *


Media Accreditation will be collected from the Media Centre on the morning of the Industry Day Preview (further details of collection will be advised if Accreditation is approved).

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Media Accreditation is not transferable; any attempt to use Media Accreditation to enter the Motor Show by unauthorised persons will result in confiscation of passes by Security and/or Motor Show Staff.
